Linen / Kasuri Yarn

Kasuri (絣) is the Japanese term for fabric that has been woven with fibers dyed specifically to create patterns and images in the fabric, typically referring to fabrics produced within Japan using this technique. It is a form of ikat dyeing, traditionally resulting in patterns characterized by their blurred or brushed appearance. Kasuri yarns woven into the fabric to make uneven stripes. Aim is to create the virtues of imperfection. This concept is known as “ Wabi Sabi”. Original thick linen yarns can create a rustic texture. At the same time, emphasising the presence of the yarn itself. Creation starts from yarns.
